Our Story

One family, one plancha, one corner of Mission Street — open since before you were hungry.

How itstarted

El Gran Taco Loco started on Mission Street with one idea: cook the food we grew up on, and keep the kitchen open long after everyone else closes.

Mornings bring huevos rancheros and chilaquiles. Afternoons bring burritos big enough to share. And at 2 AM, the truck is still handing quesabirria out the window.

Everything is made in house — the salsas, the beans, the masa. Same recipes, same family, every single day.
